Chris Froome Gowes in Japan Rides Pinarello F12 Special Edition
Ineos Team superstar, Chris Froome, is ready to race again. About four months after suffering a severe injury, he is now in Japan for two important activities. Namely testing the 2020 Olympic route while performing at Saitama Criterium on Sunday, October 27th.
This “return” of Froome was specially marked by Pinarello, Team Ineos bicycle supplier. Froomey-nickname racer 34 years-using F12 X-Light bikes with special features.
The bicycle was still black, with a rhino-shaped streak in front to commemorate Kenya, the birthplace of Froomey. The name “Froomey” and the lines on the top tube are made in three colors. Four yellow, two red, and one pink. It was to commemorate his career success. Four-time Tour de France champion, two-time Vuelta a Espana, and once Giro d’Italia.
Last Friday (October 25), Froomey and several racers tested the Olympic route next year. The road race route was indeed cruel, climbing a total of nearly 5,000 meters in the Mount Fuji area.
