Deceuninck-QuickStep: Jersey 2020 Increasingly White
The most diligent team wins at the 2019 WorldTour arena, Deceuninck-QuickStep, introducing their new jersey for 2020. They use blue again, but it’s no longer the main thing. The Belgian uniform is actually “getting whiter.”
In its history, Deceuninck-QuickStep is rarely a fashion reference in terms of jersey design . The 2020 design is not too shocking. It even tends to go back to design in the 1990s to early 2000s. The main thing is the sponsor logo, not design.
With white, the Deceuninck logo (window and door manufacturer) and QuickStep (floor material) are more intact. There is a blue pattern on the subordinate, with a thin curved line to the top, as if following the shape of a bibshort shoulder hook .
The Belgian team, sponsored by Belgium, was also made a jersey by the Belgian brand: Vermarc.
Like it or not, of course it depends on taste. Remco Evenepoel, the young superstar who introduced him, expressed his opinion. “This is very different from previous years, but very good. When I first saw it, I immediately knew it would be a cool uniform,” he said.
The wolf’s head logo adorns this uniform behind the neck. These troops indeed dub themselves as “The Wolfpack.” Who likes to hunt together and anyone who can enjoy his victory. There is no star above the others. This approach has been very successful in recent years. In 2019 for example, Deceuninck-QuickStep won a total of 68 competitions. Ranked first in UCI WorldTour.
Another positive side of the dominant white boss: This team provides a special color space for national champions, who always use uniforms according to the color of the flag of the country they are from. In 2020, there are six national champions joined in Deceuninck-QuickStep. Namely Kasper Asgreen ( Danish time trial champion ), Sam Bennett (Ireland), Ian Garrison (United States), Fabio Jakobsen (Netherlands), Bob Jungels (Luxembourg), and Michael Morkov ( Danish road race champion ).
As usual, in 2020 this team will hunt for classic competitions . Like Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders. But now they also have a climber that can be horrendous in the grand tour arena . Namely Julian Alaphilippe.
