English MotoGP 2019 – Jorge Lorenzo Already Resigned to Final Finish
Finishing in 14th place in the 2019 British MotoGP race, thankful for Jorge Lorenzo . Because, he had resigned if he had to finish last.
The 12th race of the English MotoGP series 2019 on Sunday (8/25/2019), became Jorge Lorenzo’s first experience on the track after being absent for two months.
He had to pull over due to a spinal injury following an accident at the Dutch MotoGP training session at the Assen Circuit, late last June.
Reported by BolaSport.com from Crash.net , Lorenzo said he was ready if he finished at the back.
Because, Lorenzo tried to maintain his physical condition and chose to avoid contact with other drivers.
This affects the speed of the race that took place at the Silverstone Circuit.
“I honestly thought I would finish last, but I was in front of Karel Abraham and Hafiz Syahrin who were faster all weekend,” Lorenzo said.
“In the end, I was faster even though I tried to save on tires because I used medium tires, while other drivers used hard tires,” he continued.
Lorenzo did not dismiss that another reason that made him pessimistic about the results of the race was because of the pain in his back.
“To be honest, my back hurts too, so I have to reduce speed,” said the Spaniard.
“My back hurts more than on Friday and Saturday because I have to drive 20 laps in a row with higher speed,” he said again.
However, Lorenzo is optimistic that his condition will be better in the San Marino MotoGP on 15 September 2019.
“Maybe tomorrow my condition will be better starting tomorrow and the day after tomorrow,” Lorenzo said.
“We will hold a test at Misano and I am sure it can be more fit. Moreover, I will be able to practice better in the last 2-3 weeks,” he said.
English MotoGP 2019 won by Alex Rins, Suzuki Ecstar racer. He finished ahead of Lorenzo’s team mate, Marc Marquez, with a difference of only 0.013 seconds.
