Injury Recovery, Lorenzo Absent in Two Second Half Early Series
Jorge Lorenzo will miss the first two series of the second half of the 2019 MotoGP, his condition still in the recovery stage of injury. X-Fuera confirmed absent in Brno and Austria because the conditions were not possible to go down the race.
Previously Lorenzo had an accident in the Dutch MotoGP FP1 session, the driver suffered a serious injury, suffered a T6 and T8 spine fracture which forced him to miss the Dutch MotoGP as well as Germany.
Repsol Honda will also prepare the X-Fuera to appear in the second half of the season, and is ready to go down in the British MotoGP on August 23-25. Repsol Honda gave an official statement regarding the current condition of the drivers.
“Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda agreed that the best for him was to miss the Czech and Austria to continue his recovery period and attend to the risk of sustained injury,” read the official statement from the Repsol Honda team on Wednesday (24/7).
“After spending the season off for the recovery period, Jorge Lorenzo’s condition will certainly improve soon. “Silverstone has been designated as a place for Lorenzo to return with the Repsol Honda Team,” continued the official statement.
Lorenzo Position While Replaced Stefan Bradl
A big loss for Lorenzo in MotoGP 2019, his debut with Repsol Honda was truly beyond expectations. His position certainly could not be safe, because X-Fuera had not managed to get on the podium with Honda.
