Lonzo Ball will live a new life. After moving from the Los Angeles Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans, he prepared for everything. Ball is even free from injury, and wants to join a training camp ahead of the 2019-2020 NBA.

The 21-year-old guard suffered an ankle injury last season. He suffered the injury when facing the Houston Rockets. Then, missed the last 35 matches because of it.

Ball told the media that he has now recovered. He will move to the next stage to prepare to defend the Pelicans. He can’t wait to welcome the team and the new season.

Pelicans, on the other hand, is the same. They can’t wait any longer to see Ball play. They want the guard to duet with Jrue Holiday in the back ( backcourt ).

Ball himself has spent two seasons in the NBA. He started his career in 2017 with the Lakers. However, injury problems, including ankle injuries last season, made him only able to appear in 99 matches. He passed 65 potential matches by sitting off the field.

Even so, Ball managed to pack an average of 10 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 1.6 steals for two seasons. The percentage of shots overall reached 38 percent. The overall shot effectiveness is 46.1 percent. True shooting percentage 46.1 percent.

Pelicans hopes Ball can improve his abilities. They want the guard to play at a high level on both sides, both when attacking and defending. Moreover, the team wants to target the opportunity to penetrate the playoffs in 2019-2020.

Besides Ball, Pelicans has several new players. They, for example, got Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart with Ball through the Anthony Davis exchange. They also recruited JJ Redick and Derrick Favors from the free player market. Then, Zion Williamson with the 2019 NBA Draft mechanism.

Pelicans will hold a training camp in the near future. Especially considering the pre-season agenda will soon begin. The NBA holds the tournament on 4 October. While the regular season takes place on October 22, 2019-15 April 2020. (put)
