Murray-Harris Moncer, Nuggets Continue Positive Trends

The Denver Nuggets faced the Sacramento Kings in the 2019-2020 NBA match on Monday night, October 28, 2019, local time. Back in the first quarter like two games that have been passed, Nuggets just started to rise in the third quarter. Playing neater in defense, the Nuggets managed to close the game that was held at the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California, United States with a 101-94 victory.

These results bring the Nuggets untouched in their first three games of the season. Together with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Philadelphia 76ers, the Nuggets managed to become a team that is still “holy” so far.

The field duo behind the Nuggets, Jamal Murray and Garry Harris became an important part in this victory. Murray leads the team with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists from 6/14 shots. Harris followed with 17 points and 4 rebounds from 5/9 shots.

Nuggets mainstay star, Nikola Jokic, had a difficult night. Playing for 28 minutes, Jokic recorded 9 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists from 4/15 shots. Outside the three names above, there is only Mason Plumlee who is able to score double digit points with a record of 10 points plus 8 rebounds for 19 minutes on the field.

A difficult night was also passed by Buddy Hield from the Kings camp. After 34 minutes, Hield only recorded 5 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists from 2/13 shots. The first shot that came in even just happened in the fourth quarter. In addition, he also recorded five times a turnover.

What keeps the Kings from sticking to Nuggets in this game is the super appearance from Richaun Holmes. Despite getting off the bench, Holmes packed double 24 points and 12 rebounds from 10/13 shots. The number of points is only one point from the most records throughout his career.

De’Aaron Fox followed with 20 points and 9 assists from 7/17 shots. Nemanja Bjelica and Harrison Barnes who are side by side in the Kings wing area are both packing 12 points. The difference is, all of Bjelica’s points come from tripoin with 4/6 shots. While Barnes actually did not produce points from tripoin after failing to enter a single shot from four experiments.

In the next game, the Nuggets will still be dealing with teams from the Western Region. Nuggets will return to the stable and host the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow. While Kings will try to win their first victory when they host the Charlotte Hornets, the day after tomorrow, local time. (DRMK)
