The NBA will resume the 2019-2020 season in July, with 22 clubs. They will play at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. However, not all players will appear. While there were already a few players who said goodbye, they did not leave for Orlando.

Players are indeed free to determine attitude. They may appear, or even say goodbye to not appear in Orlando. There are no consequences. So the players will not get a fine, or a suspension from the NBA and his team. However, players who do not appear in Orlando will lose part of their salary. The count is a maximum of around 14 matches. As for the penalty rules, no. They don’t have to pay anything to the club.

Now there are already some players who have withdrawn from Orlando. Here is a temporary list of these players:

1. Trevor Ariza (Portland Trail Blazers)
Ariza is very difficult to leave his family. Because if he plays in Orlando, then he will leave the family for more than a month. Meanwhile, families may not enter restricted areas.

So far, it is unclear whether Portland will sign a substitute for Ariza. Blazers has an open place in the roster, because there are still 15 players. On paper, Blazer can have two additional players to take to Orlando.

2. Avery Bradley (Los Angeles Lakers)
Bradley is the most interesting player who chose not to leave for Orlando. Because Bradley is a member of the Lakers team, who are the champions this year. Bradley supports players who voice concerns about social conditions in the United States. In addition, family considerations are a strong factor for Bradley not being able to perform in Orlando.

As a replacement for Bradley, the Lakers have prepared JR Smith. The player who once teamed with LeBron James at the Cleveland Cavaliers. JR Smith was a champion with LeBron in the 2016 NBA.

3. Davis Bertans (Washington Wizards)
Bertans became the first player to choose not to take his team to Orlando. Bertans did it to cure the ACL injury, and did not want to make the injury worse.

The decision not to go to Orlando, while not affecting the views of the Wizards Bertans. He remains a player who will be extended by the Wizards as a free agent next season. Bertans remains the club’s top priority.

For consideration, the Washington Wizards are not in a safe position for the playoffs. As a substitute for Bertans, the Wizards have the opportunity to recruit Jerian Grant. Grant is a former Orlando Magic player, who is now defending Capital City Go-Go in the NBA G-League.

4. Willie Cauley-Stein (Dallas Mavericks)
Cauley-Stein is currently awaiting the birth of her child. So he did not go to Orlando with the reason he wanted to be with his family. Despite leaving the Mavs, Cauley-Stein remains a priority for the team next season.

Mavs seems to be short of players. Cauley-Stein did not go to Orlando, while Dwight Powel, Courtney Lee and Jalen Bruson were injured. Mavs seems interested in bringing veteran Trey Burke to Orlando, replacing Cauley-Stein.

5. Wilson Chandler (Brooklyn Nets)
Chandler will not take the Brooklyn Nets to Orlando for family reasons. He added to the long list of Nets players who would be absent. Previously there were Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Nicolas Claxton would not appear because of injury.
