The collaboration between Deceuninck and QuickStep at the bicycle race seems to be more compact. On its 30th birthday, QuickStep gave the Deceuninck-QuickStep driver a surprise by opening a mobile coffee shop named QuickStep Bar Velo.
The introduction of the QuickStep Bar Velo was done when the Deceuninck-QuickStep racers were training in Calpe, Spain. The mobile coffee shop was made from a caravan. The car was decorated like the color of the Deceuninck-QuickStep team jersey.
At the introduction, two Deceuninck-QuickStep drivers, ZdenÄ ?? kŠtybar and Team Declercq were lined up as baristas. It turns out they are good at presenting a cup of warm latte, plus a touch of the latte art .
This mobile coffee shop is designed to respond to the culture of coffee in the peloton community, and professional cyclists. During this time the racers often choose the coffee shop as a resting place during the training trip.
Deceuninck-QuickStep racer from Denmark, Kasper Asgreen confirmed that problem. According to him, coffee has become an inseparable part of the bicycle racers, including in his team.
“For me and a teammate at Deceuninck-QuickStep, a cup of coffee has become an inseparable part of our daily routine,” he said.
ZdenÄ ?? k Štybar added, he has now also become a real coffee lover. According to him, coffee is increasingly popular among cyclist . In fact, Deceuninck-QuickStep racers often compete with each other to find the best coffee to taste.
“During long exercises, we often stop for a moment to rest, and relax. A cup of coffee is ideal to accompany the break. We hope that in the future we can rest in our Bar Velo. Because this is where the best coffee is served for us,” Štybar said.
The QuickStep Bar Velo was deliberately designed to bring racers to sip coffee in their own homes. Therefore, the coffee shop was made simple from the interior side, but still impresses a beauty.
QuickStep Bar Velo will explore further than Calpe. They will be traveling all year to escort the Deceuninck-QuickStep bicycle racing team this season.
