No need to have to wait any longer next year. We will see the action of young racer Iker Lecuona on the MotoGP prototype motorbike in a week in the Valencia closing series. Will the racing style be similar to Stoner? .. We will soon see the action of Iker ‘Stoner’ Lecuona in MotoGP Valencia!
Iker Lecuona will make his MotoGP class debut with KTM Tech3’s Red Bull sooner than expected after being called in to replace Miguel Oliveira who was injured in a ‘high winds’ incident at the Australian Grand Prix.
Lecuona signed a contract as a Tech3 squad for the 2020 racing season, and will experience the first RC16 on November 15-17. Oliveira fell during a free training session due to high winds at the Australian Grand Prix, and recently underwent shoulder surgery that kept her out until February next year.
Incidentally Valencia is a home race for Iker. “Having this opportunity at my grand prix home is a proud moment for me. We have to enjoy this beautiful experience, but most importantly, learn as much as possible (about motorbikes) for the future, “Lecuona said.
According to Iker, none of this would have been possible without the help and encouragement of Herve Poncharal, and Eitan Butbul and his Moto2 Race Team crew, they helped Lecuona to grow as a racer. The young Spaniard also hopes for the best recovery for Oliveira, who will be his teammate next season. Iker will give his best in Valencia like he always does.
