LeBron-Davis Back, Lakers Overcome Warriors

The third meeting of the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors in the preseason series took place Wednesday night, October 16, 2019, local time. Back strengthened by two main stars who were absent in the previous game, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers appeared mighty. Always in a superior position since the first quarter, the Lakers closed the game with a 126-93 victory.

LeBron immediately became the Lakers most points collector in this game. Playing for 25 minutes, he packed a double, 18 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists from 6/8 shots. Not alone, Avery Bradley equaled LeBron’s achievement with the same points and minutes of play.

Davis appeared quieter with a record of 8 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for 28 minutes of play. His duet on the front court (frontcourt), JaVale McGee, actually recorded more points with 12 points plus 6 rebounds.

From the bench, Quinn Cook and Dwight Howard became the most fertile. Cook packed 16 points for only 15 minutes of play while Howard added 13 points plus 7 rebounds with the same playing minutes.

The Warriors have also been reinforced by Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell who were absent from the previous game. However, their main star, Stephen Curry, just doesn’t appear in this game. Russell took on the task of being a Warriors scorer with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists for 27 minutes from 8/17 shots.

Draymond did not appear as usual. Note 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assist that he posted did not seem strange. However, the fact that he won the point from 4/15 shots is nothing new. It was very rare to see Draymond release such an amount of experiments. Ruki Warriors, Jordan Poole, completes the list of scoring figures with double digit Warriors after packing 14 points off the bench.

Both teams have one more meeting in this preseason. The fourth meeting will be held at the Warriors new enclosure, Chase Center, San Francisco, California, United States, the day after tomorrow, local time. (DRMK)
